Is Getting Married A Good Idea? Read On
I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get so wrapped up in our day to day hum-drum of existence and it can be so easy to overlook and appreciate how good life actually is. So today I am stopping to smell the flowers, so bear with me.
15 years ago, I never would have imagined that I would be where I am today. Or for that matter WHO I am with. It’s crazy the way we flesh out our lives, never really knowing what will happen from one minute to the next. I mean, sure we’ve all got plans, aspirations and things that we aim to achieve. Could be buying a home, or 2nd or 3rd home. It might be to move in to a nicer rental, start your own business or maybe you want to work your way into a position in life to make enough money to travel as much as you like.
Whatever you have in your minds eye for yourself, there’s always going to be twists and turns. For me, I can honestly say that I never expected to be where I am and I really have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming.
Amy-Lee and I met around 14 years ago, in an online media company we both worked for. I was her Manager (SCANDALOUS) and things bloomed, as they do. Now to be here in life, still working together, in love, loving what we do and loving our life, I’m proud. Proud that we stuck to our guns and committed to each other. Proud that our marriage is a total unity life. Proud that we get to live wedding moments on a regular basis and so proud of my exponentially talented wife Amy-Lee.
You know, Wedding Photography isn’t just a job for us. It’s our life blood, it keeps Amy and I in a ‘fresh’ place in our own marriage. Being the ones who encase magic moments and store them frozen in time for all time is something we identify with on a deeper level.
The fact that I get to spend my life working hand in hand with the love of MY life, capturing eternal moments from the starting point of other peoples life and love adventures together humbles me and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank those who have allowed us in to their inner circle to photograph their story and also to put ‘out there’ how truely grateful I am for those moments and the moments to come.
So.. Is getting married a good idea?… The best.
Until next time…
Andrew (and Amy-Lee) 🙂
