As the rumours and concerns of impending rain circulated and filtered through the wedding guests. Their faces washed over with sceptically optimistic expressions, but for Josh and Gemma there was not a cloud in the sky. I am convinced that the warmth love and sunshine oozing from their hearts most certainly kept the rain at bay and set the mood for an incredible afternoon at a simply breathtaking location.
The misty rainforest surroundings made for a stunning scene for our adoring Bride, Gemma, and what a Bride she was. Gemma was magnificent! Her hair was flawless, the make up was immaculate, the wedding dress was perfect and she really looked like a modern day fairytale princess. I swear even the trees stopped waving in the breeze to stare a little while.
Our Groom was equally handsome, sporting an impeccable navy suit, but the thing that really stood out from the day was the emotional tie these to had with each other. All to often in today’s busy world in the age of information overload, reality shows, Youtube and social media and so on, the appreciation for the beautiful innocence of young love in all it’s glory escapes us. It was so heart warming to be here to bare witness to these two young lives being fused together to create a new legacy of love – the commencement of their own branch of a family tree.
This love is so clear and pure, that I could feel it through my camera lens and with every word they uttered to each other you could see each of their faces light up and it was a privilege to be there and share in these precious moments.
I know I have said this before, but Amy-Lee and I both love Wedding Photography because it gives us the opportunity to keep ‘us’ fresh in our own hearts. Thank you Josh and Gemma and we hope you all enjoy the pics :0)
